Adilafil 20 Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Adilafil 20 Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Adilafil 20 Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Adilafil 20 Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Can the use of Adilafil 20 Tablet affect fertility?
No, using Adilafil 20 Tablet does not affect fertility. It works by relaxing the muscles of penile blood vessels and has no effect on fertility.
Do I need to avoid alcohol while taking Adilafil 20 Tablet?
Moderate alcohol consumption may not cause any discomfort to you. However, excessive alcohol intake (5 units or more) can increase your risk of experiencing headaches, dizziness, rapid heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Does Adilafil 20 Tablet delay ejaculation?
Adilafil 20 Tablet is not known to affect ejaculation. It is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
What are the symptoms that should prompt me to discontinue Adilafil 20 Tablet?
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, a sudden decrease in hearing, hearing loss, ringing in your ears, and dizziness. Additionally, contact your doctor immediately if you experience prolonged erections exceeding 4 hours and painful erections exceeding 6 hours.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adilafil 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Adilafil 20 Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
