Edalis 20mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Edalis 20mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH. It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Edalis 20mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Edalis 20mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Does Edalis 20mg Tablet affect fertility?
Edalis 20mg Tablet does not affect fertility. It works by relaxing the muscles of penile blood vessels and has no effect on fertility.
Should I avoid alcohol while taking Edalis 20mg Tablet?
Drinking alcohol in moderate amounts may not cause discomfort, but excessive consumption (5 units or more) can potentially increase the likelihood of headaches, dizziness, a rapid heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Does Edalis 20mg Tablet delay ejaculation?
Edalis 20mg Tablet is not known to affect ejaculation. It is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
What symptoms should prompt me to discontinue Edalis 20mg Tablet?
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, sudden hearing loss or decrease in hearing, ringing in the ears, and dizziness. Additionally, contact your doctor if you experience prolonged erections (greater than 4 hours) or painful erections (greater than 6 hours).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Edalis 20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Edalis 20mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
- Do not use Edalis 20mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain) if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Edalis 20mg Tablet.
Breastfeed
Information regarding the use of Edalis 20mg Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor. Edalis 20mg Tablet is not indicated for use in women.
Pregnancy
Edalis 20mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
