Other serious side effects of Topnil 25mg Tablet could be suicidal thoughts and insufficient sweating (some children taking Topnil 25mg Tablet may not sweat enough in hot weather, causing their body temperatures to rise).
Will my existing valproic acid medication interfere with Topnil 25mg Tablet? Can I take these together?
Topnil 25mg Tablet doesn't interfere with valproic acid, but it increases the risk of hyperammonemia (high levels of ammonia in the blood). This increase in ammonia can lead to symptoms such as difficulty thinking, remembering information, or solving problems, decreased alertness, and sleepiness. If you experience these symptoms, immediately inform your doctor. It's important to note that Topnil 25mg Tablet itself may also cause hyperammonemia, even without the valproic acid.
Can Topnil 25mg Tablets be used on children?
Topnil 25mg Tablets are used for seizures in children aged more than 2 years. However, due to a lack of reports, this medication is not recommended for use in children for migraines.
