Askmore Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat loss of appetite. It is an effective appetite stimulant. Askmore Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Askmore Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
Does Askmore Syrup cause dryness in mouth?
Yes, using Askmore Syrup may cause dry mouth. If you experience dryness, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips throughout the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You can also use lip balm if your lips are dry.
Can Askmore Syrup cause dizziness?
Yes, using Askmore Syrup may cause dizziness (feeling lightheaded, weak, unsteady) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest for a while and resume once you feel better. Do not drive or operate machinery until you are feeling well.
What is the recommended storage condition for Askmore Syrup?
