Which vaccines should not be taken while taking Tacronic 1mg Capsule?
You should avoid live vaccinations (vaccines that use pathogens that are still alive, but are attenuated, or weakened) when taking Tacronic 1mg Capsule. These may include vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, BCG (tuberculosis vaccine), yellow fever, chicken pox and typhoid. You should also avoid taking polio drops (by mouth) or flu vaccine (through nose).
Who should not take Tacronic 1mg Capsule?
Patients with allergies to the medication, individuals with a weakened immune system, people with high blood pressure and those with kidney failure should avoid Tacronic 1mg Capsule. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals planning to receive live vaccines (e.g. MMR vaccine) should also avoid this medication.
What should I tell my doctor before taking Tacronic 1mg Capsule?
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, have allergies, long-term infection, high blood sugar, or high blood pressure. Also let your doctor know about any high potassium levels, weakened immune system and a history of medication use. Tell your doctor if you have recently received or will be receiving a live vaccine.

This medicine suppresses the immune system, increasing the risk of infection. In some cases, Tacronic 1mg Capsule can increase the risk of certain cancers, such as skin and lymph gland cancer (lymphoma). It may lower the ability of your immune system to fight infections. Consult your doctor before starting this medication and if you experience symptoms of infection, such as fever, chills, sweats, cough or flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, warm, red, or painful areas on your skin.
