Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet is a dopamine agonist used to treat high levels of prolactin and stop breast milk production in cases of stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage. Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet is a dopamine agonist used to treat conditions such as infertility or abnormal production of breast milk (galactorrhoea) caused due to excess production of a natural hormone called prolactin. It should be taken with food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet works by decreasing the release of prolactin, a hormone that stimulates breast milk production. This stops the production of breast milk in case of stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage.

What are the possible side effects of using Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet?
During the first few days of treatment with Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet, you may experience a decrease in blood pressure which could cause dizziness. To prevent this, it is essential to change your position slowly when sitting up, standing, or lying down during those initial days. Your doctor may recommend regular monitoring of your blood pressure during this time period. Common side effects include drowsiness, nausea, headache, dizziness, vertigo, stomach pain, indigestion, fatigue, and weakness. If these symptoms occur, it is recommended to consult with your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Breastfeed

Pregnancy
Rupactin 0.25mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
