You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, headache, dizziness, and low blood pressure. To overcome dizziness, you must avoid driving or rise slowly from sitting or lying position.
Caberlin 0.25 Tablet works by decreasing the release of prolactin, a hormone that stimulates breast milk production. This stops the production of breast milk in case of stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage.

Caberlin 0.25 Tablet contains Cabergoline, which belongs to a group of medicines that reduces the level of prolactin. It is used to treat medical problems such as galactorrhoea (excessive milk production) caused by abnormally high levels of prolactin. It is also used to stop breast milk production (lactation) in cases of stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage.

Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dose and duration depend on your medical condition. It is advisable to take this medicine with food or after food to reduce the risk of nausea or vomiting.
What are the possible side effects of using Caberlin 0.25 Tablet?
During the first few days of treatment, this medication may cause a temporary decrease in blood pressure which can lead to dizziness. Therefore, it is recommended to change your position slowly when sitting, standing or lying down during these initial days of treatment. Your doctor may recommend monitoring your blood pressure regularly during this period. Common side effects include drowsiness, nausea, headache, dizziness, vertigo, stomach pain, indigestion, fatigue, and weakness. If you experience any of these side effects, consult your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Caberlin 0.25 Tablet is to be taken with food.
- Take Caberlin 0.25 Tablet if you are experiencing infertility or abnormal production of breast milk (galactorrhoea) caused due to excess production of a natural hormone called prolactin.
- Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down to lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out.
- Take it with or after food to avoid side effects such as nausea or indigestion.
- Do not take Caberlin 0.25 Tablet if you are breastfeeding.
- Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Caberlin 0.25 Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Caberlin 0.25 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Caberlin 0.25 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Caberlin 0.25 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
