It is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (eg. low-fat diet) on their own have failed. This medicine helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Rosadac-F Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Fenofibrate and Rosuvastatin. Fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood while Rosuvastatin prevents your body from making 'bad' cholesterol (LDL). Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
Can Rosadac-F Tablet cause liver damage?
Rosadac-F Tablet contains rosuvastatin and fenofibrate. Liver damage is a rare side effect of this medication, occurring in about 1 in 10,000 patients. If you have underlying liver disease, it's essential to avoid using this medicine. If you experience symptoms such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes, contact your doctor immediately.
