Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet is a diuretic (water pill) medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet makes you lose excess water through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. This medicine should be taken only during day time to avoid frequent urination at night. You must take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor and never stop it abruptly without consulting the doctor.
Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
Can I drink alcohol while taking Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet?
It is not recommended to consume alcohol while on treatment with Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet, as it may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, leading to dizziness and lightheadedness.
What happens if I take more than the recommended dose of Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet?
Taking an excessive amount of Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet may result in symptoms such as nausea, weakness, fast or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, muscle cramps and pain, and difficulty breathing. In severe cases, it can even lead to a heart attack. If this occurs, seek immediate medical attention.
Can I take ibuprofen with Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet?
Combining Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet with ibuprofen is not recommended, as it may interact with the medication and affect blood pressure and kidney function. If prescribed together by your doctor, closely monitor your blood pressure and kidney function tests.
Does Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet increase uric acid? Can it cause gout?
Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet may elevate uric acid levels, although the occurrence of gout is rare.
Does Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet cause skin cancer?
There have been no reported cases of Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet causing skin cancer. However, this medication can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. When exposed to direct sunlight, you may experience a skin rash; take precautions by wearing protective clothing and using sunscreen.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Alcohol
Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Pregnancy
Klokylidone 6.25mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
