Isordil 5 Sublingual tablet is used to prevent chest pain (angina attacks) by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart. Isordil 5 Sublingual tablet must be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Place the tablet under the tongue or between the cheek and gum and let it dissolve. It is usually taken as needed either 5 to 10 minutes before physical activities or at the first sign of angina. You should take the medicine as it is prescribed for you and keep taking it even if you feel well. If you stop taking it suddenly your risk of an angina attack will increase.
