Grandstat F 160mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines used to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, reducing the risk of heart disease. Grandstat F 160mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two lipids (fat) lowering medicines. It is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (eg. low-fat diet) on their own have failed. This medicine helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Grandstat F 160mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Fenofibrate and Rosuvastatin. Fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood while Rosuvastatin prevents your body from making 'bad' cholesterol (LDL). Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
What are the potential risks associated with liver damage when taking Grandstat F 160mg/10mg Tablet?
A very rare (1 in 10,000 patient) side effect of Grandstat F 160mg/10mg Tablet is liver damage. This medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. If you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage, such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes, contact your doctor immediately.
