Etosys Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding. Etosys Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. It also increases the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. You can take Etosys Tablet at any time of day with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by the doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Remember to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor.
Etosys Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots and controls excessive bleeding. Ethamsylate is a hemostatic. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).
Can the use of Etosys Tablet cause diarrhea?
Yes, using Etosys Tablet can cause diarrhea. If you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids. If diarrhea persists, consult your doctor. Do not take any other medications without first speaking with your doctor.
Can I use oral contraceptives while taking Etosys Tablet?
No, do not take oral contraceptives while using Etosys Tablet. Using these together can increase the risk of serious complications.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Etosys Tablet be more effective?

- Along with taking Etosys Tablet, you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief during periods.
- Inform your doctor if there is no improvement in your bleeding after using this medicine for three consecutive periods.
