Duabit 60mg Capsule MR should be taken as prescribed by your doctor for the appropriate duration and dosage based on your individual condition and response to treatment. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully to maximize benefits. Depending on the specific condition you are being treated for, the treatment may require a short or long-term course. How does Duabit 60mg Capsule MR work for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

Can Duabit 60mg Capsule MR cause calcium deficiency and osteoporosis?
Long-term use of Duabit 60mg Capsule MR can lead to hypocalcemia (low blood calcium levels) and osteoporosis (thinning of bones). This occurs as the medication decreases calcium absorption, potentially increasing the risk of fractures. It's important to discuss your bone health with your doctor before starting therapy or if you have pre-existing conditions such as osteoporosis. They may recommend calcium or vitamin D supplementation to help prevent this.
Can Duabit 60mg Capsule MR cause diarrhea?
Yes, some individuals taking Duabit 60mg Capsule MR may experience diarrhea as a side effect. Most cases are mild and transient but if you experience persistent watery stools accompanied by stomach cramps and fever that don't resolve, seek immediate medical attention. This could indicate Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea (CDAD), which can be a serious complication of Duabit 60mg Capsule MR. Lowering stomach acid levels can facilitate the growth of harmful bacteria.
Can long-term use of Duabit 60mg Capsule MR cause magnesium deficiency?
Long-term use of Duabit 60mg Capsule MR (at least three months, with multiple daily doses) may lead to hypomagnesemia (low blood magnesium levels). Consult your doctor if you experience symptoms like seizures, dizziness, abnormal or fast heartbeat, jitteriness, jerking movements or shaking (tremors), muscle weakness, spasms of the hands and feet, cramps, muscle aches, or spasm of the voice box.
