Amrolwin Cream is a medicine used to treat various types of fungal skin and nail infections. Amrolwin Cream is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. If it gets into your eyes, nose, and mouth rinse with water. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve and you should keep using this medicine regularly. The entire course of the treatment should be completed to ensure that the infection does not come back. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should talk to your doctor.
Amrolwin Cream contains Amorolfine and Phenoxyethanol which treat fungal skin infections. Amorolfine is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi on the skin or nails by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative.
How long does it take for Amrolwin Cream to treat a nail infection?
Amrolwin Cream may take a few days or weeks to improve symptoms of the infection. However, it can take up to 6 months for fingernail infections and 9-12 months for toenail infections to fully clear. This is because nail infections are cured only when the infected nail grows out and is replaced by a new one.
Should I stop taking Amrolwin Cream if my symptoms improve?
No, do not stop taking Amrolwin Cream until you have completed the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms seem to be improving. If your infection does not clear up after 5 days, notify your doctor for further guidance.
How should I store and dispose of Amrolwin Cream?
Keep Amrolwin Cream in its original container, tightly closed. Store it as instructed on the pack or label. Dispose of unused medicine properly to prevent accidental ingestion by pets, children, or other individuals.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
