Alkasafe Syrup is used in the treatment of gout and kidney stones by stopping the production of uric acid in the body. Alkasafe Syrup can be taken with or without food to prevent an upset stomach. It is important to take it regularly and not stop even if you feel better until advised by your doctor. Common side effects include stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, frequent urge to urinate, and tiredness. If these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking and any heart, kidney, or liver problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
Alkasafe Syrup is a urine alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of urine, making it less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of excess uric acid, thereby preventing gout and certain types of kidney stones.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Alkasafe Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
