What is Zocon 150 Tablet used for?
Zocon 150 Tablet is an antifungal medicine. It is used for the treatment of many fungal infections like Cryptococcal meningitis and Coccidioidomycosis. It is helpful in the treatment of infections caused by Candida found in the bloodstream, body organs, or urinary tract, mucosal thrush, and genital thrush. It can also be used to treat skin infections like athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, and nail infection.
Can Zocon 150 Tablet be taken with oral contraceptives (OCPs) or birth control pills?
Zocon 150 Tablet has been reported to have a minor interaction when taken with estradiol (a component of oral contraceptives). It can increase the level or effect of estradiol when given along with it. Before starting the treatment with Zocon 150 Tablet inform your doctor if you are taking birth control pills.
Can Zocon 150 Tablet cause hair loss?
Zocon 150 Tablet may cause hair loss as a rare side effect. If during the treatment you experience hair loss, inform your doctor.
Is Zocon 150 Tablet effective?
Yes, Zocon 150 Tablet is effective when used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Zocon 150 Tablet too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zocon 150 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
- Your doctor has prescribed Zocon 150 Tablet to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
- Take Zocon 150 Tablet at the same time every day.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
- Use a reliable method of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking this medicine.
- Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain.
- Inform your doctor if you develop severe skin rash like blistering of the skin along with fever.

Pregnancy
Zocon 150 Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
