Zenflox-Plus 100 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children and adolescents. Zenflox-Plus 100 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that treats bacterial infections affecting various parts of the body including eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It is also effective in treating typhoid fever in children and adolescents. The medicine contains two antibiotics, Cefixime and Ofloxacin, which work together to stop the growth of bacteria and prevent the spread of infection. It is important to complete the entire course of antibiotics to avoid bacterial resistance and recurrence of infection. Common side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, and it is advised to consult a doctor if severe reactions occur.
Zenflox-Plus 100 Tablet contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while Ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. This stops the bacteria from growing and spreading.
Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach. Ensure your child completes the entire course of antibiotics.
- Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
- Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
- Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect.
- Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Zenflox-Plus 100 Tablet as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
- Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions.
- Only give Zenflox-Plus 100 Tablet to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
- Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child’s doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
