Yemetil 200mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat various disorders such as schizophrenia and other psychoses like paranoia, mania, anxiety, agitation, and dangerously impulsive behavior. Yemetil 200mg Tablet is also used for controlling intractable hiccups, feeling or being sick (nausea), and autism (learning and communication difficulties). This medicine belongs to a group of drugs known as phenothiazines which act on the central nervous system. It alters the thoughts and elevates the mood, improving the person's ability to think, feel, and behave.
Yemetil 200mg Tablet is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Yemetil 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Take it at night to avoid feeling sleepy during the day
- Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Yemetil 200mg Tablet affects you
- Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down
- Do not drink alcohol while taking Yemetil 200mg Tablet as it can cause serious breathing problems
- Inform your doctor if you notice involuntary muscle movements
- Monitor your weight during the treatment as Yemetil 200mg Tablet can cause weight gain
- Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor
- Dry mouth

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Yemetil 200mg Tablet.
Breastfeed
Yemetil 200mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Yemetil 200mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
