Xaraban 15mg Tablet is a medicine known as an anticoagulant or blood thinner. It helps prevent and treat blood clots. Xaraban 15mg Tablet is commonly used in patients with irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) to prevent clot formation. It also reduces the risk of getting clots in people who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgeries. It may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day for maximum benefits. You may need to take this medicine for many years even for life in some cases. Do not stop taking it or change the dose without guidance from your doctor.
Xaraban 15mg Tablet is a novel oral anticoagulant (NOAC). It works by stopping a clotting factor called factor Xa from working. This helps prevent the formation of blood clots in the body.
What are the potential side effects associated with taking Xaraban 15mg Tablet?
Common side effects of Xaraban 15mg Tablet include excessive bleeding, breathlessness (indicative of bleeding), weakness, fatigue, paleness, dizziness, headache, and swelling. In rare cases, severe skin reactions, bruising, coughing up blood, bleeding from the skin or under the skin, and limb swelling with pain can occur. Additionally, some individuals may experience decreased platelet count, increased bilirubin levels, fainting episodes, rapid heartbeat, and dry mouth. If you notice any of these side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
What is Xaraban 15mg Tablet classified as?
Xaraban 15mg Tablet is a blood thinner medication. It works by preventing the formation of blood clots within blood vessels and inhibiting the recurrence of blood clots in veins and arteries. This may be prescribed to treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in legs) or pulmonary embolism (blood clot in lungs).
What are the safety considerations when using Xaraban 15mg Tablet?
While Xaraban 15mg Tablet has several benefits, it can increase the risk of bleeding. In some cases, this may be severe and require immediate medical attention. Which foods should I avoid consuming if I'm taking a blood thinner?

However, individuals taking warfarin (another blood thinner) should also avoid foods that contain vitamin K or promote clotting. Examples include spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, mustard greens, asparagus, and green tea.
