How it works

Vriestran 1mg/100mg Injection is a combination of two medicines. Vincristine is an anticancer medicine. It works by inhibiting the duplication of genetic materials (DNA and RNA) that is required for cell growth and multiplication of the cancer cells. The addition of Mannitol allows Vincristine to enter the brain by opening the blood-brain barrier and act against the cancer cells.

Tips

• Vriestran 1mg/100mg Injection is given to treat various types of cancer.
• Decreased sensation, numbness, and tingling in fingers and toes may become progressively worse with repeated doses of Vriestran 1mg/100mg Injection. It is important to report this to your doctor.
• Your health care provider may prescribe a stool softener to help prevent constipation that may be caused by this medicine.
• Drink plenty of water and follow a healthy diet.
• You may be at risk of infection so try to avoid crowds or people with colds and report fever or any other signs of infection immediately to your doctor.
• To reduce nausea, take anti-nausea medications as prescribed by your doctor and eat small, frequent meals.
