Vosliv Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat loss of appetite. It is an effective appetite stimulant. Vosliv Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Vosliv Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
Can the use of Vosliv Syrup cause dryness in mouth?
Yes, Vosliv Syrup may cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.
Can the use of Vosliv Syrup cause dizziness?
Yes, Vosliv Syrup can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is best to rest for some time and resume once you feel better. Do not drive or operate machinery.
What is the recommended storage condition for Vosliv Syrup?
Store Vosliv Syrup in its original container or package with the lid tightly closed. Follow the instructions on the package label for proper storage. Dispose of unused medication properly and prevent it from being consumed by pets, children, or other people.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Vosliv Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
