Tricaine Tablet is used to treat acidity, bloating, and stomach ulcers by relieving symptoms such as stomach pain or irritation and neutralizing excess gas in the stomach. Tricaine Tablet is a combination of three medicines. It is used to treat acidity, bloating, and stomach ulcers. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it by mouth before meals, preferably at bedtime. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Always complete the prescribed course of treatment. Do not take more than the recommended doses of this medicine as high dose may have harmful effects on the body. This medicine is generally well tolerated by patients. However, it may cause constipation and diarrhea. Proper hydration helps to overcome these side effects. Always consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also inform your doctor if you are suffering from any severe stomach, liver, kidney disease, or any other known disease. Immediately consult your doctor if you experience severe diarrhea and constipation.

How it works

Tricaine Tablet is a combination of two antacids (Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium) and an antifoaming medicine (Simethicone). The antacids neutralise excess acid in stomach. The antifoaming medicine disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tricaine Tablet is to be taken with food.

Tips

• This medicine can make it harder for your body to absorb other medicines, especially certain antibiotics. Avoid taking any other medicine within 2 hours before or 2 hours after you take Tricaine Tablet.
• Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks of taking this medicine.
• Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines which thin the blood (anticoagulants, e.g. warfarin).
• Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and bloating: Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water, Avoid spicy and fatty fried food, Lose weight if you are obese, If you are a smoker, consider giving up, Don't drink too much alcohol, Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
