Tozaar-AT Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by controlling blood pressure and reducing the risk of future heart attack and stroke. Tozaar-AT Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Losartan. It can be taken at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tozaar-AT Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
• Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.

Side Effects

• The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, taste change, constipation, diarrhea, and headache. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or do not go away. Dizziness might occur as lowering of blood pressure, which get improved with time. It may increase the level of potassium in the blood, hence avoid potassium rich food and supplements.
