Tido Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It prevents the growth of microorganisms that cause the infection. Tido Tablet is a prescription medicine that should be taken as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.
Tido Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Doxycycline and Tinidazole.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tido Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol while taking Tido Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Breastfeed
Tido Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy
Tido Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
