In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension is an antibiotic having metronidazole and norfloxacin as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.

- Your child has been prescribed Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension for the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections.
- If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water.
- Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help.
- Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
- Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions.
- Your child must complete the entire course of Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
- Discontinue Supergyl 100 mg/100 mg Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
- Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.
