Stemin MF Ointment is a prescription medicine that effectively treats psoriasis and eczema by reducing redness, itchiness, and swelling. Stemin MF Ointment is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Urea. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. It is for external use only. Do not use this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you have known allergies from this medicine. The common side effects of this medicine include burning, itching, irritation, and redness at the application site.
Stemin MF Ointment is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Urea. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Urea are keratolytic medicines which break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells, and soften the skin. They also enhance the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.
- Apply it once a day
- Leave it on during the day if you have applied it in the morning or overnight if you have used it in the evening
- Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily or as advised by your doctor
- Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor
- If you are using a moisturizer along with this preparation, apply the moisturizer first. Then wait 10-15 minutes before applying Stemin MF Ointment
- Do not apply this medicine to your face unless your doctor has asked you to
- If you have been told to use it on your face, be careful not to get any preparation near your eyes and do not use it for longer periods of time than you have been advised
- Your skin may become more sensitive to sunlight than normal while you are using Stemin MF Ointment. Try to avoid sitting out in the sun and do not use sunbeds
- Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment

Breastfeed
This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers.
Pregnancy
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are suffering from any other disease.
