How it works

Smilogel Mouth Ulcer Gel is a combination of three medicines: Lidocaine, Choline Salicylate, and Menthol. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, which decreases the sensation of pain. Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Menthol provides a cooling effect.

Direction of use

Gently apply the gel to the affected area inside your mouth. Refrain from eating or drinking immediately after applying the gel.

• Use a soft toothbrush after consulting your dentist
• Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying the gel
• Avoid putting dentures back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel
• Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods
• Do not smoke while using Smilogel Mouth Ulcer Gel
• Consult your doctor if your pain does not improve after using this medication for 7-14 days or if your symptoms get worse
