How it works

Shelcal K Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Calcitriol, Calcium Citrate Malate, and Vitamin K2-7. Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D. It raises Vitamin D levels in your blood. This in turn raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from your intestine. Calcium citrate malate is a water-soluble calcium supplement. It increases the plasma calcium levels and is used when the amount of calcium taken in the diet is not enough. Vitamin K2-7 plays a central role in the metabolism of calcium, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth. Vitamin K2-7 activates the calcium-binding actions of two proteins: matrix GLA protein and osteocalcin, which help to build and maintain bone health.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Shelcal K Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
