Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Samcef AZ 200mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics. It's prescribed to treat bacterial infections. Cefixime treats ear, lung, throat and urinary tract infections. Azithromycin helps with infections in the ears, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat upper respiratory infections like typhoid and pneumonia; urinary tract infections and some sexually transmitted diseases.
