RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet is used for the treatment of malaria in both children and adults. It contains two medicines both of which belong to a group of medicines called antimalarials. RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet works by killing the malaria-causing parasites thereby preventing further spread of the infection. It should be taken with food as this will help your body better absorb the medicine. Take it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. Complete the full course of treatment to make sure the infection is treated completely.
RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Artemether and Lumefantrine which treats malaria. These medicines work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.
How should I take RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet?
Take RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet with food, exactly as directed by your doctor. This medicine is usually taken twice a day with a meal for 3 days, or as instructed. On the first day of treatment, take your first dose with food, followed by your second dose 8 hours later. For the next 2 days, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. Resume normal eating as soon as possible to improve the medicine's absorption.

No, RT Quick 80mg/480mg Tablet is not recommended for women in their first trimester of pregnancy. It may increase the risk of fetal loss.
