Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet is used to treat Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome by slowing down body movements. Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet is used to treat Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome. It helps to treat excessive shaking by slowing down the body movements. It can be taken with or without food. Taking it with food may reduce nausea.
Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet works by increasing the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movement in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
- You have been prescribed Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet to treat your symptoms of Parkinson's disease and/or restless leg syndrome.
- Take this medicine 2 to 3 hours before bedtime for restless leg syndrome.
- Avoid activities that require you to be alert such as driving a car until you know how this medication affects you.
- Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down to lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out.
- Inform your doctor if you develop compulsive behaviors that are hard to control such as binge eating, gambling, spending money, and sexual urges.
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Ropikem 0.25mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
