Rifastop 200 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infectious diarrhea. It works by killing and stopping the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines. Rifastop 200 Tablet can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
Rifastop 200 Tablet is an antibiotic. Rifastop 200 Tablet inhibits the bacteria's ability to make proteins and stops the growth of bacteria that cause infectious diarrhea.
How long should you take Rifastop 200 Tablet?
The duration for which you may need to take Rifastop 200 Tablet will depend on the disease being treated. If it is prescribed for treatment of traveler's diarrhea, it is usually given for 3 days. When given for irritable bowel syndrome, it is usually given for 14 days.

How long does Rifastop 200 Tablet take to work for IBS?

Usually, taking Rifastop 200 Tablet for two weeks provides relief from IBS symptoms. Additionally, some people experience relief that lasts up to 10 weeks even after stopping the medication.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rifastop 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
