Repel-ML Syrup is a medication used to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes in children. Repel-ML Syrup is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It may also help in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies.
Repel-ML Syrup contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
Can I combine cough and allergy medicines for my child?
No, do not mix cough and allergy medications because they generally contain similar ingredients. This may lead to double dosing of the active ingredients, potentially causing serious side effects.
My child is showing improvement on Repel-ML Syrup, can I decrease the dose myself?
No, adhere to the prescribed dosage as recommended by your child's doctor. Never increase or decrease the dose independently, as this could affect your child’s health and may lead to unintended effects such as sedation and depression.
How should Repel-ML Syrup be stored?
Repel-ML Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry, cool place away from direct heat or light. Ensure it is kept out of the reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
My child might be feeling sleepy after taking Repel-ML Syrup, is this normal?

No, it is crucial to stop this medication under your doctor’s guidance. Sudden withdrawal can lead to a rebound of all symptoms and should be done gradually.
My child suffers from a mood disorder, is it safe to give them Repel-ML Syrup?
Some studies have linked Repel-ML Syrup to mood disorders, hallucinations, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, shakiness, and trouble with body movements. It's essential to consult your child’s doctor before administering any medication.
Can Repel-ML Syrup be used for treating acute asthma attacks?
Repel-ML Syrup is intended for preventing asthma attacks and should not be used to treat an ongoing attack. Use your child's reliever medication for immediate relief from a triggered attack.
