Recob 500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. It is used to treat deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

What is Recob 500mcg Injection?
Recob 500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is essential for the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It's also crucial for energy release from food and utilizing Vitamin B11 (folate).
Why might I not be getting enough vitamin B12 in my diet?
You can get vitamin B12 from foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, vegetarians or vegans may not get adequate B12 because it's not naturally found in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is more common in those groups.
What are the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency?

Recob 500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or a rash may occur. If you experience a rash, discontinue the medication immediately.
How should Recob 500mcg Injection be administered?
Recob 500mcg Injection can be given intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dosage is one ampoule (0.5 mg of Recob 500mcg Injection), and it's given three times per week. After two months, one ampoule (0.5 mg of Recob 500mcg Injection) is administered every one to three months as part of long-term maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken when administering Recob 500mcg Injection?
Avoid injecting at the same site each time. If you experience intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different site.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Recob 500mcg Injection. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Recob 500mcg Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
