Pyradil TF 2.5mg/1mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental disorder in which a person develops unreal thoughts and behavior). Pyradil TF 2.5mg/1mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Trifluoperazine and Trihexyphenidyl. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic that works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Trihexyphenidyl is added to treat and prevent side effects such as involuntary movements (shaking of hands, muscle spasms). It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
