Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR is used to treat Parkinson's disease and restless leg syndrome by slowing down body movements. Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR should be taken with food. However, take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication must not be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR works by mimicking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movement in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR is to be taken with food.
- You have been prescribed Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR to treat your symptoms of Parkinson's disease and/or restless leg syndrome.
- Take this medicine 2 to 3 hours before bedtime for restless leg syndrome.
- Avoid activities that require you to be alert such as driving a car until you know how this medication affects you.
- Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down to lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out.
- Talk to your doctor in case you develop hallucinations or other changes in your behavior.
Alcohol
Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Pramitrem 0.26mg Tablet XR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
