What is Pexomen 10mg Tablet used for?
Pexomen 10mg Tablet is prescribed in combination with ultraviolet light (UV light) to treat vitiligo (a condition causing loss of skin pigmentation), psoriasis (a skin condition characterized by red and scaly patches), and photopheresis (a procedure that uses UV light to remove white blood cells). It is also used to treat the skin problems associated with mycosis fungoides, a type of lymphoma.
How does Pexomen 10mg Tablet work?
Pexomen 10mg Tablet works by altering how skin cells receive ultraviolet light A (UVA) radiation, leading to the improvement of these diseases.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pexomen 10mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Pexomen 10mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Pexomen 10mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Pregnancy
Pexomen 10mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
