Peditral is a WHO-based Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) formula that restores body fluids and electrolytes lost due to dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramping, and exertional heat illness. Peditral is a combination of Dextrose and essential electrolytes (Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Citrate) designed to restore body fluids and electrolytes lost due to dehydration. It is used to treat dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramping, and exertional heat illness. Peditral is available in the form of a powder that is mixed with water to create a solution.
Peditral works by replenishing the body's lost fluids and electrolytes, which helps to restore the body's natural balance and alleviate symptoms of dehydration.
1. Empty a pack of Peditral into the measuring cup. 2. Fill the measuring cup to 200 ml with fresh, cold, drinking water. For infants, use freshly boiled and cooled water. 3. Stir well to dissolve. Solution is ready for drinking.
