Opilox 500 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, including those of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin, soft tissues, and lungs. Opilox 500 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective against infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin, soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia). The medication works by killing and stopping the growth of infectious microorganisms. It should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Common side effects include nausea and diarrhea, which usually resolve on their own. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Special care should be taken for individuals with kidney problems and those who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Opilox 500 Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Opilox 500 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Opilox 500 Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves and cocoa beans.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol with Opilox 500 Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Breastfeed
Opilox 500 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Baby should be closely monitored for development of fever, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. In case any of the above happens, please inform your doctor immediately.
Pregnancy
Opilox 500 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
