Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is a combination of two medicines that helps to control high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood. Olmewon AM 20 Tablet contains two medicines, both of which help to control high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.
Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Olmesartan Medoxomil and Amlodipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Olmesartan Medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Serious side effects of Olmewon AM 20 Tablet include skin rash or itchiness, painful joints, fast heartbeat, shortness of breath or tightness in the chest. Serious side effects may also include aching, tender, or weak muscles (not caused by exercise), and swelling of the hands, feet, or ankles. Olmewon AM 20 Tablet may also cause symptoms that may indicate high potassium levels in the blood, such as nausea, diarrhea, muscle weakness, and change in heart rhythm. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately.
Can Olmewon AM 20 Tablet affect my fertility or sex life?

You may have to take Olmewon AM 20 Tablet for life. Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is not a cure but helps control your blood pressure. Do not stop taking it even if your blood pressure is well controlled. Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is generally considered safe to be taken for the long term. In some cases, long-term use may adversely affect the kidneys and the kidneys may not function as they should. Therefore, your doctor may prescribe regular blood tests to check urea, creatinine, and potassium levels to keep a track of how well your kidneys are working.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Olmewon AM 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Olmewon AM 20 Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- It may cause you to feel lightheaded or weak especially when you stand up. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Avoid consuming alcohol as it may enhance the blood pressure lowering effect of Olmewon AM 20 Tablet.
- It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you are sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
- Do not take Olmewon AM 20 Tablet if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Olmewon AM 20 Tablet.
Breastfeed
Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Olmewon AM 20 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
