Olmat-40 AMH Tablet is a combination medicine used mainly for managing high blood pressure (hypertension) and to help remove excess fluids from the body by increasing urine output.
Olmat-40 AMH Tablet contains Olmesartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide. Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes and widens blood vessels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that reduces the heart's workload. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes excess fluids and electrolytes. Together, they lower blood pressure and reduce fluid overload.

Olmat-40 AMH Tablet is used for lowering high blood pressure (hypertension) by removing extra fluid (electrolytes) from the body.
How does Olmat-40 AMH Tablet work?
Olmat-40 AMH Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Olmesartan medoximil, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide. Olmesartan relaxes and widens the narrowed blood vessels, amlodipine reduces the heart's workload and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood, and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic or water pill that removes extra water and certain electrolyte overload from the body. Together they lower blood pressure, improve blood flow, and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
How long can Olmat-40 AMH Tablet be taken?
Olmat-40 AMH Tablet can be safely taken as long as your doctor prescribes it. Discontinuing without consulting your doctor may increase blood pressure and risk of stroke or heart attack.
Does intake of Olmat-40 AMH Tablet affect fertility?
It is unlikely that Olmat-40 AMH Tablet affects fertility in men or women. In some cases, water pills like hydrochlorothiazide may lead to erectile dysfunction. Consult your doctor for better advice.
Can I take Olmat-40 AMH Tablet before a surgery?
Consult your doctor before surgery if you are taking Olmat-40 AMH Tablet, as it may need to be stopped because it can lower blood pressure if taken with anesthesia.
Olmat-40 AMH Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor. Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the dosage and timing. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
