Ofwin TZ Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat diarrhea and dysentery by preventing the growth of microorganisms. Ofwin TZ Tablet is a prescription medicine that should be taken as advised by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food but must be taken at a fixed time for better efficacy. Do not exceed the recommended dose as it may have harmful effects. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Complete the treatment even if you feel better to ensure full recovery. Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and headache. Consult your doctor if side effects worsen or if you experience an allergic reaction. Inform your doctor about any liver or kidney problems or other medications you are taking. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine. Avoid alcohol as it can cause excessive dizziness. Do not drive if the medicine makes you feel sleepy or dizzy. Rest is advised during the treatment for effective recovery.
Ofwin TZ Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Ofloxacin and Tinidazole. Ofloxacin prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Tinidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they effectively treat the infection.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. Ofwin TZ Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol while taking Ofwin TZ Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Breastfeed
Ofwin TZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Ofwin TZ Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.
