Ocafib 10mg Tablet is used to treat primary biliary cirrhosis by inhibiting bile acid production and increasing its removal from the liver, improving liver function. Ocafib 10mg Tablet is used in alone or in combination therapy to treat primary biliary cirrhosis. It helps improve the liver function by inhibiting the production of bile acid and increasing the removal of bile acid from the liver. This reduces the bile acid in the liver and hence prevents its toxic effects.

How it works

Ocafib 10mg Tablet stimulates Farnesoid X receptor (FXR), a chemical that regulates synthesis and transport of bile acid, lipid metabolism and regulation of glucose levels. It inhibits bile acid synthesis and increases bile acid secretions, reducing the bile acid pool in the liver and hence preventing its toxic effects.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ocafib 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
