No-Spas Tablet is a prescription medicine that helps to provide symptomatic relief from menstrual (period-related) pain and cramps. It is also used to treat abdominal pain by relieving spasms of the muscles in the stomach and intestines. No-Spas Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on what you are using it for and how well it helps your symptoms. Use it regularly and do not discontinue using it until the doctor tells you. It may cause some common side effects like dizziness, dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, nausea, and sleepiness. If you experience any of such side effects that do not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms. Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or if you are taking any other medicines. No-Spas Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Mefenamic Acid. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling). Together, they relieve menstrual cramps and stomach cramps.
Can No-Spas Tablet be taken with food? Can I take it on an empty stomach?
It is advisable to take No-Spas Tablet with food or immediately after food. Taking the medication on an empty stomach may cause stomach upset.
Does No-Spas Tablet stop menstruation? Can it affect my menstrual cycle?
No, Mefspas does not have any effect on menstrual bleeding, neither does it affect the amount nor the duration of bleeding. It does not affect the menstrual cycle and helps relieve the pain caused due to menstrual cramps.
How long should I take No-Spas Tablet? When do I need to stop using this medication?
No-Spas Tablet is not prescribed for regular use. Therefore, it is advised to take No-Spas Tablet only for the shortest possible time advised by the doctor or only when you experience menstrual pain.

Yes, it is advisable to avoid driving after taking No-Spas Tablet as it may cause dizziness or sleepiness. The side effects are more pronounced when consumed with alcohol, and thus, you should refrain from driving until you fully understand how the medicine affects you.
