Why is it important to check the insulin flow and prime before every injection?
Priming ensures that the pen and needle are working properly. A primed pen ensures insulin flow from the needle. If not, you may not get the accurate amount of insulin.
Use as directed. Change the pen needle after each injection. Inject slowly and do not remove the pen needle immediately. Avoid unsuitable sites. Roll and swivel the pen 10 times before each injection.
