Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the prevention of asthma. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness. Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Fexofenadine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose and improves symptoms of allergies. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out.
What should be avoided while taking Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet?
Do not take it with any fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they may decrease the effectiveness of the medication. Avoid alcohol consumption while on Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet. Alcohol can increase the severity of drowsiness or sleepiness caused by Montevid AF 10mg/120mg/200mg Tablet.
