Medrex LS Oral Drops is a combination medicine used to treat wet cough, acute sore throat, and asthma in children. It relieves throat irritation, clears congestion, and enables easy breathing. Medrex LS Oral Drops makes it easier for your child to cough out the mucus by increasing its water content and making it thin enough to be coughed out. Give this medicine to your child by mouth with or without food along with a full glass of water. If your child develops an upset stomach, prefer giving it with food. You may require to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks depending upon the severity of the infection. For maximum benefit, do not stop the medication abruptly by yourself even if your child starts to feel better and continue the medicine until the full prescribed course. Do not give more than the prescribed dose for fast relief as it may cause unwanted effects and worsen your child's condition.
Medrex LS Oral Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together they make breathing easier.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Medrex LS Oral Drops may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
