Lpill M Tablet is an anti-progestational steroid class of drug used for medical termination of pregnancy. Lpill M Tablet is given alone or in combination with some other medicine to attain the maximum benefit. It should be taken with food or as your doctor's advice. It should be taken orally by swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. If you experience vomiting within 45 minutes of tablet intake, inform your doctor or take another tablet. The medicine may take 24- 48 hours to show its action and you experience bleeding. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, uterine cramps, diarrhea, infection following abortion, and uterine bleeding. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. If you experience heavy vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain on taking this medicine, you should inform your doctor immediately.
Lpill M Tablet blocks the effects of progesterone, a natural female hormone which is needed for the pregnancy to sustain. Without this hormone, the lining of the uterus (womb) breaks down as it does during a menstrual period and stops the growth of the pregnancy.
What is Lpill M Tablet and what is it used for?
Lpill M Tablet contains the medicine Mifepristone. It is used to terminate a pregnancy. It works by blocking progesterone, a hormone required for maintaining pregnancy. It can only be used in cases of pregnancies that are 63 days or less old from the first day of your last menstrual period.
How and in what dose should I use Lpill M Tablet?
Lpill M Tablet is taken orally with a glass of water. It must be used under the supervision of a doctor.
What should I expect after taking Lpill M Tablet?
You may or may not experience vaginal bleeding or spotting after taking this medicine. After 48 hours of taking Lpill M Tablet, your doctor will examine you and may prescribe another medicine (Misoprostol) for complete termination of pregnancy. After 14 days of taking Lpill M Tablet, your gynaecologist may run blood tests or perform an ultrasound to confirm if the pregnancy has been terminated.
Can Lpill M Tablet affect my future chances of getting pregnant?
Studies have shown that this medicine does not impair fertility. Your chances of becoming pregnant are the same as those who did not take the medication.
What are the common side effects of taking Lpill M Tablet?
Common side effects of using Lpill M Tablet include vaginal bleeding and abdominal cramps. Other commonly reported side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. If you experience a heavy vaginal bleed or any bothersome side effects, please consult your gynaecologist.

Alcohol

Lpill M Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
