Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) by relieving symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) by relieving symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid in the stomach and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet is generally taken daily, preferably before breakfast on an empty stomach.
Can Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet cause abnormal heart rhythm?
Yes. Use of Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet can increase the risk of irregular heartbeat (serious arrhythmias). This is a serious side effect, but the probability of occurrence is very low. The risk may be slightly higher in patients over 60 years of age.
Does Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet cause dry mouth?
Yes. Dry mouth can occur due to domperidone, which is present in this combination medication. Drinking plenty of water can help alleviate dryness. Take regular sips of water throughout the day and keep a glass of water by your bedside for night-time use. Avoid alcohol and smoking as these may worsen dry mouth.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet?
Store this medication in its original container, tightly closed. Refer to the packaging label for detailed instructions on storage and disposal. Never give this medication to pets or children without consulting your doctor.

- You have been prescribed Lokcidom 10 mg/20 mg Tablet for the treatment of acidity and heartburn.
- Take it one hour before the meal preferably in the morning.
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
- Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention.
- Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
