Lenz 15mg Tablet DT is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other stomach conditions associated with excessive acid production. Lenz 15mg Tablet DT is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn. It is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity that may be seen with the prolonged use of painkillers. This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.

To administer Lenz 15mg Tablet DT through a nasogastric (NG) tube, follow these steps: Open the capsule and empty the granules into a syringe. Mix the contents with apple juice in the syringe, then attach it to the NG tube and give directly into the stomach. After administration, flush the NG tube with more apple juice to clear the tube.
When should Lenz 15mg Tablet DT be taken: on an empty stomach or with food?
Lenz 15mg Tablet DT is usually taken once a day, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. If taking twice daily, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. Swallow the tablets whole, without chewing or crushing them, and take at least 1 hour before meals with some water.
While taking Lenz 15mg Tablet DT, which foods should be avoided?
To help manage your condition, it is recommended to avoid foods that trigger acidity and heartburn. These include fried or spicy food, butter, oil, citrus juices (such as lemon water or orange juice), caffeinated drinks like cola or tea, and alcohol.
Is Lenz 15mg Tablet DT used for children?
Yes, Lenz 15mg Tablet DT is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive gastritis in children. However, its safety and effectiveness have only been established in children between 1 to 17 years of age.
